USDA released Back to School Resources to help schools support healthy choices with ready-to-go resources.

Updated 7/1/2022
Effective immediately, through the end of summer, SFSP and SSO operators are now allowed to use the following flexibilities:
      • Non-congregate feeding
      • Meal service time flexibilities that allow bundling of meals
      • No child present/parent pick-up
      • Offsite monitoring

CACFP operators may utilize offsite monitoring waivers through June 30, 2023. Currently, CACFP operators may only use non-congregate, meal time, and parent pick-up flexibilities in the event of a specific COVID-19 incident.

For all of the flexibilities described above, Contracting Entities must submit the applicable opt-in form located on the COVID-19 Intake Forms page (note that the opt-in form for Summer non-congregate feeding is under development and will be posted soon; SFSP and SSO operators may begin using these waivers prior to submitting the form).

For the latest information on these waivers and others being issued as part of the Keep Kids Fed Act, please read the applicable FAQs posted above.
